A bit slack on the blogging front!!

I'll be the first to admit that harvesting is hard! (Not that I actually joined in on any of it!) Not having a husband around (execpt home to sleep for a few hours) really takes it's toll on our family. I haven't done much sewing lately... and feel like I'm struggling to keep up with the normal stuff of life! (Some would say this is me all the time!!)
This runner is a gorgeous Leanne's House design that was designed for the Under The Mulberry Tree Stitchery of the Month Club. It's called "Erica's Garden" and is lovely to stitch and turned out beautifully... it features some of Rosie's new range of fabrics as well. I'm glad that I got it finished!!

I always have good intentions when a friend has a baby... and I love to make them the Leanne's House baby sampler hanging. Here's yet another one... half done... I'm sure it wouldn't take much time if I just sat and did it!!!!

This is another Leanne's House pattern ... from Nundle GDITC 09. I found it last night while cleaning up some stuff and realised that I have 3 blue dots to satin stitch and then just blanket stitch around the white pieces.... WHAT? WHY DIDN'T I JUST GET IT FINISHED?! ;)

And last but certainly not least.... some sscs goodness. Not long to go until this needs to be posted... better get a move on and get it finished!!!

I know life goes on.... but life just kind of took over here for a little while. I promise to attempt to get here more often... my problem is that if I have nothing to show for my weeks of absense... I'd rather not come!!!!! So that means I better get stitchin'! :)

Winging It's Way to Germany....

(only some of the presents pictured... who knew that 26 presents would take up so much room!)

I finally got everything finished off for the Advent Swap I am a part of... it's on it's way to Kerstin in Germany. It's been a fun swap... but lots and lots of little presents are hard to find!

Now I better start the finishing off process for Chookyblue's SSCS.

I've also been able to finish off and wrap two Christmas presents as well for my family. And since I don't know who checks this blog... no photos, sorry! Don't want to ruin any surprises!!

Better get moving and finish off that sewing!

Hope you're all well on task for your Christmas sewing projects! :)

Thank you!

I've finally organised myself to get some pictures of the other FQ swap I'm in.
Most important stuff first though... CHOCOLATE! Peg must have known... Missy Moo is dairy intolerant and Buster Jim and Mr Farmyard dislike mint chocolate!!! And guess who loves it?!? Yes, ME! Thank you Peg!

As you can see from all of that lovely fabric goodness... there's lots there and I'll have great fun now trying to work out what I can make with it. I'm thinking many little things...!! So, thank you to all the girls in the Nundle FQ Swap! It was such a wonderful feeling to know that I had so many presents to open for my special day.
I better keep moving... I'm working on my Advent Swap present now. It has to be in the mail in a couple of weeks... so I better get busy!! Once that's done then I can finish off my SSCS present and get it in the mail too. Anyone think that maybe I've signed up for a bit much?? Yes, me too!

I think birthdays are lovely!

Just a quick post to thank all of my fq swap friends for the lovely fabrics they sent. I'm having problems with some of the photos... so I'll just post a pic of the fabrics I've received from the On My Veranda FQ Swap group. There are seven of us in our group. So lovely to receive some great fabrics. A big thanks to Maree, Cathy, Narelle and Jenny.
The photos that I took of the Nundle FQ Swap stuff have all got fluro green stripes through them... so I'll have to lay them out and take more pictures! But a huge thanks to Gai, Aunty Alison, Alison (she's naughty!), Jenny, Donna (she's naughty!), Kerry, June, Dale, Helen, JoJo (she's naughty!), Shelley and Anita.
I'll take some more pictures tomorrow or Tuesday. Our post doesn't come often and seems to take a while to get here too... so there might be more on their way.
A huge thank you to everyone... now I just need to track down your email addresses to say thanks!

Stitchery Club of the Month... #5

This is gorgeous!! Leanne has done a wonderful job of designing this table runner. I love it. It features some of Rosie's fabric too. So nice! There are two stitchery panels in this one and I have finished one of the stitcheries and have started the next one.

My time is torn between 50 million other things that I could be doing too!! Oh well. It's all good. I'll get everything done in the next 50 years I'm sure!!!

Ellison and Baxter

It's been super busy on the farm today with our new houseguests, Ellison and Baxter. They came to live with us yesterday (after being under construction for a little over a week) and have had a blast this morning checking out the yard and seeing what there is to do here.
Riding seems to be a favourite passtime... Baxter enjoying lazing around while Ellison does the 'driving'!
Who ever knew that Elphants LOVED to swing! Back and forth, back and forth... thanks to my little helper, Missy Moo... who made sure they got the ride of their lives!!!

Then as it got too windy and Baxter was sick of snorting flys out of his trunk, we decided to head inside for some culture. Ellison was very accommodating and played her very special version of "Baby Elephant Walk"....

Then it was time for both of them to shine... they played a beautiful duet called "When I See An Elephant Fly"...

We are very lucky that these special friends are here to stay. A huge thank you to Jodie at RicRac for allowing me to test sew this pattern for her. She's awesome and hasn't once gotten mad at me for pestering her about writing this fantastic pattern!! I'm so excited that they look just like Jodie's versions "Parsley and Beet" and "Pepper, Latte, Custard Rocket and Cinnamon". So in a week or two I'm sure this pattern will be available from Jodie... everyone can have their own special Elephants!!

Delivered.....

My washcloths have made their way to Bec's place. So glad that they turned up and didn't take long to arrive!!
Beautiful fennel green waffle dishcloth.

Latte coloured waffle dishcloth.

And if you look really closely... can you see the flower garden in this wash cloth?
I can't wait till tomorrow... I'm expecting quite a bit of special mail...
